Hello
I did this modul 4test last week, but it went bad. Thank you for you feedback in learning Danish, the problem is I am in a bad school the teachers only passing paper without any explanation or feedback or correction for the student. How can I help my self to pass the test. ?

In reply to Margarita. Hi Margarita! Thank you for your message and kind words about the blog. When I was in Module 4, we had quite a few written essays at home to do. We used Pæredansk book for assignments. Here are some examples from the book we had to write about if that can help you: -Familieformer i dag: Beskriv kort udviklingen inden for familieformer og seksualmoral, og skriv, hvad du mener om det. -Skriv et indlæg til din lokale avis. Fortæl hvad du synes, der skal gøres i din by. Giv dit indlæg en overskrift (min 100 ord). I have not used the book "Breve trin for trin 2" that your teacher mentioned, but it must be good if she says so :) Check out this link for Danish e-mail sentences, it is quite useful. and thank you for such a great blog!

I am about to take Module 4 test soon and am a little nervous about it as it feels like we didn’t have enough practice with written assignments in class. We only talked a little bit about læserbrever (written task 2) and our teacher recommended a great book, “Breve trin for trin 2”, which has a whole chapter about this type of texts. But, for some reason, we haven’t written any articles or stories at all.

How did you guys prepare for written task 1? Did you use any book about writing as a supplement to Pæredansk?

I was borrowing the books from the library at Studieskolen until the end of module 4. From Module 5, I have mainly been borrowing from the public library, as resources are limited at school.

Hej I just came across your blog & it’s super useful to read about your experiences. I’m in module 3.2 but was starting to wonder whether I’m progressing at the pace that I should be. Glad to hear that module 4 saw you take some forward leaps in Danish! I’m also at Studieskolen but haven’t been asked to read a book a week. Do you borrow them from the Studieskolen library of the public ones? Cheers.

Hi Jane! Thank you for your comment.
I did Day classes and it took me 12 weeks. It is the same if you take evening classes.
Don’t worry about it, it is really a fun module! Worst case, you can always repeat one of the cycles if your teacher feels that you are not ready to move on. Hope you get to complete it, as it will really push your Danish level into the right direction.

Hi I just want to ask how many months did it take for you to finish module 4? I was just about to take my module 4 exam when i chickened out and stopped and focused with work a year ago.

Hi Adam! Thank you very much for your message!
Actually my listening really started to get better half way into Module 4. In my class, it was pretty much the same. I wouldn’t worry too much as Module 4 will bring enough classroom exercises in small groups where you can talk. You will also listen to more audio exercises (at least we did). If you want to practice your listening, I would see two useful options. Podcasts and watching Danish films/series with subtitles. It personally helped me a lot to progress with my listening. For films, try Netflix, DR.dk, http://www.filmstriben.dk.
